Fifth Third Bank’s Florida Regional Marketing Director and Past Goveror of the Fourth District Barb Scherer has been appointed to the National Advertising Review Board (NARB). A group within the Advertising Self-Regulatory Council, NARB is the advertising industry’s only peer-review process and serves to ensure that advertising claims are truthful and accurate. NARB members are selected for their standing in the industry.

The Unifying Voice for Advertising
The AAF 4th District is comprised of 21 local federations throughout Florida and the Caribbean representing nearly 1,500 members. We are different from any other organization because we have a three level, multi-dimensional network of professionals that represent all disciplines of advertising. Our goal is to educate advertising professionals and students, monitor legislative issues, recognize excellence, drive traffic to all businesses, and help build our economy. Your involvement is key to that.

I would like to thank all the members and chapter President's that attended our AAF - Fourth District Annual conference in Jacksonville, FL April 19 - 21. The weekend was full of advertising industry greatness as we watched 7 district college chapters compete in the District Four NSAC competition for Glidden paint. The District ADDY gala winners were showcased at Everbank Field with a show that began with a drumline and ended with Best of Show.
Past Governor Jackie Barker installed the new Fourth District Executive Committee at the ADDY Gala in Jacksonville. From right to left Marla Lucas - Immediate Past Governor, Susan Waldeck (behind Jackie) Governor, Michael Andersen - Governor Elect, Yeosh Bendayan - Treasurer, Barry Wallace - Secretary. Their term in office begins July 1.
I am very excited to continue the great work that AAF Fourth District has been doing under Governor Marla Lucas' leadership this year. She leaves me with very big shoes to fill. But with the help of a strong and dedicated executive committee, and an eager group of committee chairs, I have no doubt we will continue to be successful and add value to membership in the AAF or Ad2 club in your market!
